LOCATION & ACCESS

We are down the Alameda west of downtown San Jose.

For safety reasons the address is not publicly listed, and is given once a meeting has been negotiated.

There is street parking available, and the space is directly off one of the VTA 22 line bus stops.

My current location for practice of touch therapy is not ADA compliant, specifically in that is has bathroom too small for a chair, and a step in to and out of the house.

However,

I offer to visit homes of potential clients with access needs that my space can't meet.

If home visit for the session is not preferred or not an option, I partner with local business owners Trio Spa to rent space. If you have access needs I will cover the costs of locating the session in an ADA compliant space.

While I do not smoke, smoke and other potential irritants are present in the house- if this could be an issue for you, we will discuss home or spa booking. We would decide if the work would be best done on furniture in your home or if I should bring a table and if there is room for that.

Home visits / spa rental room space is not available for people with access to my ADA non-compliant space, unless travel cost or spa rental room space is paid for by client.

PRICING

5 years of experience working in school clinic and spa make me confident about the quality of what I offer.

However, asking for what my labor is worth I know prices many potential clients out of seeking regular massage.

Here is the way I break down a client's income and what I would ask for them to pay per session:

I do not require proof of income for services, just trust client's self reports of income!

Tips are very welcome, but never expected.

Terms

I ask that:

• Clients arrive on agreed time to session. Arriving early by 15 minutes and staying after to talk about reccomendations or to arrange more sessions is always fine!
• Clients know that 10 minutes after the session should have started, if you are not here, that is time I can't adjust for. If you book for one hour at 3 Pm, show up at 3:10, I can go over to make the session a full hour and end the session at 4:10. If you get here at 3:15, I will have to end the session at 4:10. If you are late, you do still need to pay for the full session.
• If clients don't show up at all, miss a session or have to cancel the session within 24 hours, client won't have to pay the agreed fee for services. If client does not come in for the session at all, client will owe 15$ to cover the labor of preparation and the cost of other clients turned away from the available time booked.
• Clients pay the time and day of service unless service was purchased as a gift, trade, package deal, or otherwise talked about ahead of time.
  

   

• Clients disclose any health issues listed on the intake and are willing to discuss their health status with me every session for safety.
• Clients come to sessions baseline sober for them and with a baseline level of hygiene.
• Clients understand and respect the boundaries of the client - therapist relationship including not making sexual or romantic comments, "jokes" or advances on the therapist or anyone in the therapy space. Clients agree there will be no potential of dating the massage therapist or anyone in the massage therapy space.
• If clients are interested in being friends outside of services or are already friends or community familiars that is called a "dual relationship" and would need specific boundaries and to be clearly discussed. It's fine to be friendly! If we see each other in public spaces and or if you want to spend time as friends outside of a client-therapist relationship, that's fine, but we'd have to talk about it and I might not want to, so don't take that personally.
• Clients will not disclose the location address to others.
